Espace Louis Vuitton: Seoul
Looking for Andy In Apgujeong Rodeo street, I went to see the Andy Warhol exhibit "Looking for Andy" that opened in the Espace Louis Vuitton, a space in the Maison Louis Vuitton Seoul. The actual space itself was beautifully designed with a glass/ screen fractal pattern that extends from the building's foundational square shape. The elevator on the way up was a fun colored and mirrored room with all four walls and the floor and ceiling made of a red mirrored material. The exhibit was based around the portraiture work of Andy Warhol, featuring photography as well as large screen prints and paintings. One of the most iconic images of Andy Warhol! The structure of the Fondation de Louis Vuitton, originally in Paris, was designed by Frank Gehry. This space/ branch in Seoul was an extension of that existing design, just in miniature.
